Anti-wrinkle injections in Islington and King’s Cross, for people who want to look rested rather than “done”. I’m Hayley, and I treat every client myself, from the first conversation to the review afterwards. My clinic room is at 260 Pentonville Road, a short walk from King’s Cross St Pancras.
The aim is simple. Smooth, lift and refresh: soften the lines that make you look tired, cross or worried, and keep the expressions that make you look like you. The best compliment a result can get is a friend telling you that you look well, without being able to say why.
Your assessment comes first
Before your first anti-wrinkle treatment you have a face-to-face assessment, to check the treatment is safe and right for you. No exceptions, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.
Then comes the part I enjoy most. I watch how your face moves when you talk, frown and smile. We go through your medical history, and we agree what we’re softening and what we’re leaving alone. If anti-wrinkle injections aren’t the right answer for what’s bothering you, I’ll say so, and tell you what might be. No pressure, ever.
The assessment is booked as its own short appointment, ahead of your treatment day.
What are anti-wrinkle injections?
Anti-wrinkle injections relax the small muscles that crease your skin every time you frown, squint or raise your eyebrows. The lines they cause are called dynamic lines, because they come from movement. Relax the muscle a little and the skin above it gets a rest: lines soften, and your face looks calmer and more open.
They work on lines caused by movement. Lost volume, hollows and deepening folds are a job for dermal filler. Dull, crepey or dehydrated skin usually responds better to skin boosters such as Profhilo. Plenty of people benefit from a bit of each, which is exactly what the consultation is for.
Which areas can anti-wrinkle injections treat?
The three classic areas are the forehead, the frown lines and the crow’s feet. When most people book three areas, those are the three they mean.
Forehead lines
The horizontal lines that show when you raise your eyebrows, and start to stay when you don’t. I treat foreheads lightly. The aim is smoother, not stuck.
Frown lines
The vertical “11s” between your eyebrows, the lines most likely to make you look cross or tired when you’re neither. For many people, these are the lines that bother them most.
Crow’s feet
The fan of lines at the outer corners of your eyes. Softening them keeps the smile and loses some of the creasing.
Bunny lines, a dimpled chin and other small extras
Once you’re having three areas, small extras such as bunny lines (the crinkles on the sides of your nose) or a dimpled chin can be added for £50 each. That doesn’t include the jaw muscle, which is priced separately below.
Lip flip
Relaxing the muscles around your mouth lets your upper lip look fuller and more defined, without adding anything to the lip itself. It’s a different treatment from lip filler, which adds hydration, shape and volume.
Gummy smile
If a lot of gum shows when you smile, relaxing the muscle that lifts your upper lip means it can’t pull the lip up quite as high, so less gum shows.
Jawline and neck lift
The neck and jawline show age too, and they’re easy to overlook. A broad, thin muscle runs down the front of your neck, and over time it can pull down on the jawline and show as vertical cords, often called neck bands.
Treating the neck and jawline relaxes that downward pull. The aim is a smoother neck, softer neck bands and lines, and a subtle lift along the jaw. Effects last approximately 3 to 6 months.
If your jawline has softened because of volume loss rather than muscle pull, dermal filler or Profhilo Structura may do more for it. We’ll look at that together at your consultation.
Teeth grinding and jaw slimming
If you clench or grind your teeth, often without knowing it at night, the masseter muscles at the angles of your jaw can become strong and bulky. A few injections into the masseter reduce the activity of those chewing muscles, which can help lessen grinding and clenching. This can last up to several months before you need treatment again.
Because the muscle is working less, it can also slim down over time, softening a square jawline for a slimmer, more oval lower face. The slimming happens gradually, over several weeks rather than days.
Treatment for excessive sweating
Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) is miserable to live with, and it’s one of the things this treatment can help with. The same treatment can calm overactive sweat glands by blocking the nerve signals that tell them to produce sweat, so the treated area sweats less. It’s most often used for the underarms.
Results for sweating tend to last longer than results for lines, often around 4 to 7 months.
What happens at your treatment appointment?
Treatment takes about 30 minutes, or 45 minutes for full face or sweating. I clean your skin, check the plan we agreed at your consultation, and make a few small injections with a very fine needle. The injections themselves take a few minutes.
You may see small raised bumps or a little redness where the needle went in, which usually settle within an hour or so. Bruising is always possible with any injection, so plan your treatment for a time when you don’t have any big events coming up.
For the first 4 to 6 hours, stay upright and don’t rub or massage the area, and skip hard exercise, saunas and sunbeds for 48 hours. Most people go straight back to work or lunch.
When will I see results, and how long do they last?
Most people start to see a difference 5 to 7 days after treatment. Results typically last around 3 months, or 3 to 6 months for full face treatment and for the jawline and neck, then movement gradually returns.
Existing clients have a free 15 minute review, booked between 2 and 4 weeks after treatment. It’s there so we can look at the result together once it has fully settled.
Most people come back every 3 months or so, and treating more often than that isn’t recommended.

Natural results, from one practitioner
I work alone, and I like it that way. I plan your treatment with you, carry it out, and see you again at your review. Most of my clients are women over 40 who want to look rested, not different, and many of them are nervous first-timers. My clients have given me a 5.0 rating across more than 100 Google reviews.
The clinic is at 260 Pentonville Road, inside Minsony: push the front door and take a seat in reception. It’s a short walk from King’s Cross St Pancras, Angel is walkable too, and clients come from Islington, Camden, Farringdon and across London.
Anti-wrinkle injections or dermal filler?
The short version: anti-wrinkle injections soften lines caused by movement, and filler replaces volume and support that time has taken away. Frown lines are usually an anti-wrinkle job. Hollow cheeks and deepening folds around the mouth are usually a filler job. Many faces do best with a little of both. The full explanation is in anti-wrinkle injections vs dermal filler.
