The quick answer
Profhilo is a skin booster. It is simply the best known one. Every booster on my menu is injectable hyaluronic acid that works on the quality of your skin (hydration, glow, texture, firmness) rather than the shape of your face. Profhilo has one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid on the market, 64mg per 2ml, and it is the one for skin that has lost firmness as well as moisture. Lumi Pro is for a dewy glow, Seventy Hyal is a hydration top-up and Teoxane Baby Glow is all about radiance. Profhilo Structura is the odd one out: it works deeper, to support the face and soften early sagging.

Which is right for me?
Start with what bothers you most when you look in the mirror.
- “My skin looks tired and has lost its bounce.” Profhilo. It hydrates and firms at the same time, and nine in ten of my Profhilo clients come back for their second session.
- “I want glow, and I want it soon.” Lumi Pro, with results seen in as little as 48 hours. Or Teoxane Baby Glow, if radiance matters more to you than hydration.
- “My skin just feels dry and thirsty.” Seventy Hyal, which replaces the hyaluronic acid your skin loses as it ages.

Where does Profhilo Structura fit?
Standard Profhilo works in the skin itself. Profhilo Structura is designed to create a natural internal “scaffold”, helping to improve facial support, reduce the appearance of sagging and jowling, and enhance lower face definition. It is placed deeper than standard Profhilo, into the fat layer at the sides of the face.
It suits you if you are noticing early signs of skin laxity, and it is a good preventative treatment to help maintain facial structure. Expect a naturally refreshed, subtly lifted look with no drastic change. Two sessions are needed, 4 weeks apart.
Structura works best as the second half of a plan, which is why I built the Profhilo Sculpt & Shine Bundle: two Profhilo sessions for deep hydration and plumping, followed by two Profhilo Structura sessions to add definition and firmness. It is £847, a saving of £253.
Can I have both?
Yes, with a plan. Profhilo followed by Profhilo Structura is the pairing I have built a package around. Profhilo also sits in the Ultimate Anti-Ageing Package, alongside three areas of anti-wrinkle treatment and 2ml of filler, for £857.
Layering two hydrating boosters in the same area at the same time rarely adds much. It usually makes more sense to finish one course, see how your skin responds, and then decide what comes next. A common pairing is Profhilo for the face and polynucleotides for the under-eyes.

Is Profhilo a skin booster?
Yes. It is an injectable hyaluronic acid treatment for skin quality, which is what a skin booster is. It is sometimes called a bio-remodeller, because it helps skin firm up as well as hydrating it.
Is Profhilo better than Lumi Pro or Seventy Hyal?
Not better, different. Profhilo carries more hyaluronic acid per 2ml (64mg, against 40mg for Lumi Pro and 30mg for Seventy Hyal) and is aimed at firmness as well as hydration. Lumi Pro and Seventy Hyal are lighter and cost less per session. The right one depends on your skin, not the name.
Do skin boosters add volume?
No. They improve hydration, texture and glow, not the shape of your face. If you want to restore lost volume in your cheeks or along your jawline, that is a job for dermal filler.
How soon will I see a difference?
Lumi Pro can show results in as little as 48 hours. Profhilo builds gradually, with the best result usually about 4 weeks after your second session, which is why the second session matters.
How often will I need a top-up?
Profhilo and Seventy Hyal last on average 6 months, so once your first course is done, most people come back for a single maintenance session about twice a year.
Can I have a skin booster before a big event?
Yes, with some notice. You may have small bumps at the injection points for a day or two, and bruising is always possible with injections. Book your final session at least two weeks before the day.
